The shipping journey starts in the city center, at the lock at Porte Contarin (inspired to Leonardo da Vinci's model).
The tour boats glide past 16th century Venetian walls passing by the Bastione Castelnuovo to the Portello, the old fulvial harbour with 16th century stairs, painted in a famous picture bu Canaletto, and a magnificent door made of stones from Istria. Here, in the past, the boats which through rivers and canals linked Padova to its surroundings and to Venice would end their journey.
Passing over the University campus, the boat reaches the former Slaughterhouse, a 19th century work by Giuseppe Jappelli, and the Gardens of the Roman Arena in which the famous Giotto's Scrovegni Chapel, and the Mantegna's Eremitani church stand out. During the Summer Season, evening trips are available. Possibilità di escursioni notturne.
