The history of Padua also influenced its cuisine: 4 centuries of Venetian rule are still present in the crop-farming and food&drink traditions of our land, both from the point of view of agricultural produce as well as the cooking traditions, that lie somewhere between the refined taste of the rich Venetian cuisine and the simpler traditions of the countryside that are based on the produce of the land.
