AZZURRA RINALDI THE GENDER OF MONEY. EQUALITY, DATA, CHALLENGES.
Introduction and institutional greetings from Emanuela Gastaldello, Provincial Councilor for Equal Opportunities and combating gender-based violence, and Julia Di Campo, Equal Opportunities Councilor of the Province of Padua;
talk by Azzurra Rinaldi, Economist, Director of the School of Gender Economics at the University of Rome Unitelma Sapienza, Co-Founder and CFO of Equonomics.
Is there still a need to talk about equality? Yes, and the data proves it. Starting from national and international evidence, we will explore how gender stereotypes, leadership models, labor market dynamics, and persistent pay gaps continue to shape, and often limit, women’s professional opportunities. We will analyze which cultural and structural barriers are still entrenched and what levers for change we can activate to build fairer, more inclusive systems that are truly capable of ensuring equal opportunities. It is essential to shift the conversation from awareness to action because we can no longer ignore the connection between inequality and gender-based violence.
