Sunday, November 16 at 7:00 PM will see the stage performance of MOLLY, a project by Cubo Teatro, written and directed by Girolamo Lucania and performed by Letizia Alaide Russo.
Trapped in her room, Molly records videos that she then uploads online in the hope that someone will see and listen to her. Until one day, unexpectedly, someone responds. A girl, like her, whom she falls in love with until she loses sight of reality.
Molly explores the era of technological narcissism, where the relationship with the image alters the connection with others and oneself, creating dependency and exacerbating the widespread emptiness of meaning, which often culminates in a real depressive pandemic, especially in the new generation.
Dedicated to and inspired by the life of Molly Rose Russell, who was found dead in her room in 2017, a week before her 15th birthday, having died from depression and the adverse influence of social media.
