Arriving at the third and final week of the 2025 edition, the Padova Jazz Festival moves to Teatro Verdi for a triple-header of evenings featuring the most prestigious names on its lineup (supported by afternoon concerts with equally stimulating listening proposals).
The evenings at Verdi kick off on Thursday, November 20, with the most awaited concert of the festival: the Stanley Clarke Band, which will perform in Padua at 21:00 in a national exclusive. Bassist Stanley Clarke (one of the longest-lasting legends to emerge from the explosive jazz-rock era of the 1970s) will be joined by Cameron Graves on keyboards, Beka Gochiashvili on piano, and Mike Mitchell on drums.
With hyperbolic adjectives and details of immense historical relevance, pages could be filled about the life and musical achievements of Stanley Clarke. Clarke was the first jazz superstar on electric bass, the first soloist of this instrument to reach gold record sales and to lead international tours as a headliner. All of this began during the intense years of jazz-rock fusion, a genre he was both a pioneer of and one of the most idolized figures.
Clarke has won five Grammys, a Latin Grammy, and in 2022 received the Jazz Master Award from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).
The Padova Jazz Festival is organized by the Cultural Association Miles, chaired by Gabriella Piccolo Casiraghi, in collaboration with the municipal administration and the regional administration, with the support of Bosco Costruzioni and Volksbank, and with the backing of the Ministry of Culture.
