ATTENTION: EVENT CANCELLED

XXVI edition of the medieval event which includes the traditional “cart race” pulled by hand by four competing teams, representing the four medieval districts called Monastero, Brolo, Capodiponte and Grate.

Each cart carries a figure/silhouette of Saint Anthony; The team that first fixes the outline of the Saint on the bell tower wins the prize.

Hence the historical and allegorical meaning of the re-enactment: the figure of Saint Anthony who arrives dying at the Arcella on a cart and becomes the symbol of the city.

Initiative organized by the Palio Arcella cultural association with the contribution of the Municipality of Padua.
