Castello Festival 2025 – GEGÈ TELESFORO – Big Mama Legacy

Saturday, July 19, 2025, 9:15 PM in PIAZZA EREMITANI in Padua

Listening to GeGè Telesforo’s music is like immersing yourself in a sea of emotions for those fortunate enough to see him on stage throughout his career. Especially during his many appearances from the late 1980s onward, at Rome’s Big Mama Club, often alongside true stars of the Italian and international music scene. Traces of those distant events are still present in his music, in the form of joy, enthusiasm, exploration, and an immense musical depth that few Italian musicians today can match.

GeGè Telesforo’s new album was released worldwide on March 1, 2024, by the prestigious American label Ropeadope, preceded by the single “Galaxy.” A return to the roots for GeGè with his personal tribute to the blues and the sound of the bands of the jazz-groovy period of the late 1950s, as well as a celebration of the eponymous music club in Rome, the most active and beloved by musicians from the late 1980s until its final closure due to the pandemic.

GeGè Telesforo vocals and percussion, Giovanni Cutello alto saxophone, Christian Mascetta guitars, Vittorio Solimene organ and keyboards, Pietro Pancella bass, Michele Santoleri drums.

n collaboration with the Miles Cultural Association – Padova Jazz

A regional premiere and the only performance in Veneto
