{"id":1068808,"date":"2026-07-26T01:41:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-25T23:41:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.turismopadova.it\/evento\/la-padova-notturna-una-notte-alla-specola-3\/"},"modified":"2026-08-09T01:41:31","modified_gmt":"2026-08-08T23:41:31","slug":"la-padova-notturna-una-notte-alla-specola-2","status":"publish","type":"evento","link":"https:\/\/www.turismopadova.it\/en\/events\/la-padova-notturna-una-notte-alla-specola-2\/","title":{"rendered":"La Padova notturna: una notte alla Specola"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Moonlight guided tour of one of the most representative and iconic symbols of the city of Padua: the tall tower, known as Specola by the locals, indeed recalls the dominion of the condottiero Ezzelino III da Romano, who in 1242 built a castle with two towers; we will delve into the taller and more slender of the two, discovering that it was partly used as a prison.<\/p>\n<p>From the Castle it will become &#8220;Specula Astronomica&#8221; or one of the most beautiful astronomical observatories in 18th century Europe, visited by famous figures such as Goethe, who in 1786 described in his travel diary the splendid panorama he could admire from the top of the Observatory tower.
