The two brothers already had extensive experience in the marketing of top-quality beers: at the beginning of the 1980s they had taken charge of the family business, <strong>Interbrau<\/strong>, and over the next thirty years would make it into Italy\u2019s leading distributor of special beers. The time was thus right for the realisation of a dream they had nursed for a long time. <strong>Thus Birra Antoniana came into being.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> In 2013, after almost two years\u2019 work on the brewery itself, beer production began in a <strong>highly innovative faculty equipped machinery<\/strong> that was predominantly of Italian manufacture. In the design of the brewery, great attention had been paid to <strong>sustainability<\/strong> \u2013 the machinery is powered by renewable energy sources \u2013 and <strong>low environmental impact,<\/strong> a state-of-the-art purifier makes sure that the waters flowing into the drainage system is chemically and biologically safe.<\/span><\/p>\r\n<p class=\"western\" lang=\"en-GB\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">At the 2107 International Beer Challenge in London, the brothers had the satisfaction of seeing Birra Antoniana recognised as \u201c<strong>European Brewer of the Year<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2013 Sandro and Michele Vecchiato took an idea they had been considering for some time and made it into a reality, creating an agricultural brewery within their home city of Padua.
