On Friday 25 October, at 6 p.m., the Botanical Garden offers a new appointment in the Racconti della Natura (Tales of Nature) series with the book Noi siamo natura (We are nature) (Edizioni Ambiente).

The author Gianfranco Bologna offers a reflection on our connection with nature, highlighting how, over the centuries, humanity has lost the awareness of being an integral part of the natural world. Beginning with the Big Bang and ending with modern man, the book invites us to rediscover our forgotten ties with nature and emphasises that every molecule in our bodies is composed of the same chemical elements that gave life to all living beings, formed billions of years ago. Noi siamo natura aims to overcome divisions between disciplines as in various fields, including astrophysics, climatology, genetics and ecology, moving towards actions that can ensure true sustainability and favouring a new approach in our relationship with the Earth.

Noi siamo natura will be on sale at the bookshop from 25 October. At the end of the event there will be a short book signing.

The event is free; online booking is required to attend.

Please arrive at the ticket office 15 minutes beforehand. The activity will start punctually at the indicated time, after which time seats will be given to any other interested persons.

The event will also take place in the event of bad weather.
