A concert of early music for the final event of MUSICA AL MUSEO 2025, on Thursday 11 September at 6 pm in the Albini Cloister at the Eremitani Museum in Padua, with LI SCOLARI SUONATORI, an ensemble specialising in the vast instrumental repertoire of the 17th century.

The ensemble is particularly dedicated to the rediscovery and re-evaluation of the Italian repertoire and is highly appreciated by both critics and the public for its rigorous philological approach, the result of in-depth study of musical sources and the use of original instruments. The ensemble can vary in size and timbre depending on the requirements of the score, up to a small orchestra.

he programme for the concert on Thursday 11 September features music by well-known and lesser-known composers active in the 17th century, some of whom worked particularly in Venice. The 17th century was a very fertile century from a musical point of view, and luthiers and musicians worked closely together in an attempt to discover new timbral and stylistic possibilities and to achieve the perfect imitation of the human voice with their instruments. The music performed will therefore bring the great Italian tradition of the past back to life, and the lesser-known pieces, presented through extensive research and restoration, promise to be an interesting and enjoyable discovery for the audience.

Tickets: €5 available from vivaticket.it ; Gabbia Dischi, Via Dante 8; and at the concert box office.

In case of rain, the alternative venue will be announced on the website www.amicimusicapadova.org
