On May 24 and 25, 2025, in the setting of the Esapolis Museum in Padua, the first edition of Arthropocene Festival comes to life:
two days of meetings, shows, music and installations to explore the relationship between humans and nature through the eyes of those who have inhabited it for hundreds of millions of years: arthropods.
The festival will host some of the most authoritative names in Italian scientific dissemination, including Prof. Giorgio Vallortigara, with a speech dedicated to “Miniature Brains”; Giacomo Moro Mauretto (Entropy for Life), with whom we will talk about insect-based nutrition; Riccardo De Marco – content creator of Geopop who will guide us to discover the mechanisms (and remedies) of mosquito bites. There will be activities for all ages: interactive workshops by the Esapolis Museum (tactile workshops), Brio Sfera (“1000 ways to become extinct” and “50 shades of biodiversity”) and Fattoria Mini Mondo (“Let’s learn to know and respect exotic animals”).
The aim of the festival is to promote critical thinking and scientific culture through accessible and interdisciplinary languages, in a context that combines awareness, wonder and inclusiveness. We are happy to invite you to participate, tell and share Arthropocene Festival.
