Earthly because he works with the land. Terrestrial because political and civil commitment have always guided his actions.
To Elio Armano the Padua Civic Museums dedicate, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, an anthological exhibition, an anthology of terracotta: this material, ancient and poor, ductile and fascinating has been moulded over the decades into landscapes and figures, pierced heads and cosmic buttons, ideal cities, in a swing between representation and symbolism. In this exhibition, set up in the spaces of the Archaeological Museum, Elio Armano’s terracottas dialogue in a new and surprising way with Roman terracottas and other ancient finds.
The exhibition is curated by Stefano Annibaletto and Francesca Veronese.
Inauguration on Friday 25 October at 5 p.m.
Open from 26 October 2024 to 6 April 2025 daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Free entrance to the exhibition with the Museo Eremitani ticket.
