Tree’s Nationale Day
Tuesday 19 November with the evening organized by the CAI – Italian Alpine Club dedicated to the monumental trees of Padua, an opportunity to deepen our knowledge of our green “jewels”: trees which have been included in the register due to their characteristics and value National Monumental Trees.
The appointment is at 8.45 pm, at the association headquarters, in via Gradenigo 10.
Thursday 21 November, however, appointment in the new green area of Pua Margherita, in the Forcellini area. From 9.30 am citizens are invited to participate in the planting of some trees in the new park under construction.
Following this, the Altinate-San Gaetano cultural centre, on Friday 22 November, from 9am to 6pm, will host the event “Forests in common – urban forestation strategies for climate change”, an important national forum on the topic of urban forestation and management of greenery in the city.
Then on Sunday 24 November, the extraordinary grand opening of the Ambarabà municipal toy library, in via Marghera 48.
From 4.30pm to 6.30pm, many games, activities and workshops designed for girls and boys aged 3 to 14 dedicated to the theme of the tree, in order to make these wonderful living beings better known to the little ones, through storytelling, artistic creation and sharing moments of healthy sociality.
Each additional tree brings absorption of Co2 and polluting elements, helps us face climate change by reducing heat islands and increasing soil permeability, but above all it gives the city a greater quality of life.
