The “MUSICAMOR” choral concert of the “Pueri Cantores” choir from Veneto will be held on Thursday 10 October at 8.30 pm at the Church of Santa Maria dei Servi in Padua, directed by Maestro Roberto Fioretto and the “Chormonie” choir of the Laborschule of Dresden, directed by Maestro Hans Hoch.
The concert was born from a collaboration initiated by the directors of the two choirs which involved the creation of a cultural exchange first in Germany, in April this year, and then in Italy.
For the occasion the choirs will perform music by Allah Rakha, Robert Fryson, Michael Barrett, Jacob Nerverud, Giacomo Puccini, Elbeth Thürig, Ēriks Ešenvalds, B.E.Boykin, Dmitry Klenin, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Christian Fris-Ronsfeld, Ruth Morris Gray , Franco Prinsloo and will end the concert by singing some songs in unison on the theme of peace and brotherhood.
The Chormonie choir was founded in 2016 by Maestro Hans Hoch with the aim of promoting music and choral singing among young students of the Laborschule in Dresden and giving them the opportunity to develop their artistic and singing skills while creating, at the same time, experiences of high artistic value in Germany and abroad.
Today the choir welcomes over 40 children aged between 9 and 18 from various secondary schools in the city of Dresden.
The Pueri Cantores del Veneto APS choir was founded by Maestro Roberto Fioretto in 1985; over the course of his career he has been able to establish himself at a national and international level by developing collaborations with the most important theatres, opera houses and orchestras in Italy, Europe and the United States.
