On Saturday 16 November the Padova Jazz Festival reaches its climax with the concert by drummer Billy Cobham, for whom it is not excessive to use the adjective “mythical”. The super champion of Seventies fusion will perform at the Teatro Verdi (9pm) with his Time Machine Band, whose international line up is completed by Antonio Baldino (trumpet), Andrea Andreoli (trombone), Björn Arkö (sax), Rocco Zifarelli (guitar), Joel Lyssarides (keyboards) and Victor Cisternas (bass).
In the afternoon we will hear further rhythmic magic, with the performance of the acrobatic beatboxer Aliendee at 6.30 pm in the Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Verdi. Together with Alessandro Scala (tenor sax) and Mecco Guidi (keyboards), Aliendee will bring together improvisation and jazz sounds in the whirlwind world of beatboxing.
