For the second of its three evenings at the Teatro Verdi, Friday 15 November at 9pm, the Padova Jazz Festival invites the New York saxophonist Lakecia Benjamin, whose “Phoenix” is one of the most impetuous manifestations of contemporary jazz. The quartet on stage will be completed by Michael King on piano, Elias Bailey on double bass and Dorian Phelps on drums.
In the afternoon, the Sala del Ridotto of the Teatro Verdi will host the duo As Madalenas (the singers and guitarists Cristina Renzetti and Tatiana Valle) at 6.30 pm: a gentle Carioca blast, awaiting the evening event.
