Padua is tinged with lights and colors with the illuminations from November 22nd and the lighting of the tree on November 30th.
As per tradition, the streets of the city host the Christmas markets from 7 December to 6 January and Piazza Eremitani hosts Santa Claus and his village from 29 November to 6 January.
Numerous events are planned throughout the city, both downtown and in the neighborhoods. Many initiatives are dedicated to families and in particular to girls and boys. Among these, the ice rink in Prato Della Valle is active from 29 November to 26 January.
During the Christmas period various discounts will be activated including some civic museums with free entry and special agreements for public transport and parking.
It’s not Christmas if there’s no music! Numerous musical events and concerts are scheduled to cheer and make Christmas in Padua 2024 even more unforgettable. Some civic museums are also open throughout the holiday period with free entry.
Two major events are planned to enrich the Christmas in Padua 2024 programme: the New Year’s Eve party in Prato della Valle and the Befana celebration on 6 January.
