Three concerts by the Atelier Choral of Geneva directed by Maestro Raphael Leite Osório as part of his first musical tour in Veneto, which will touch Vicenza, Padua and Abano Terme on 6, 7 and 9 July.
A program entirely dedicated to the composer Georg Friedrich Haendel and centered on his “Coronation Anthems”, masterpieces of baroque music written to accompany the coronation of the British monarchs.
The concerts will be held at the church of San Marco in Vicenza (Sunday 6 July), the church of San Francesco Grande in Padua (Monday 7 July), and the sanctuary of Monteortone in Abano Terme (Wednesday 9 July).
In addition to the choristers, the solo soprano Hélène Walter will perform sacred arias by Haendel, the organist Diego Innocenzi, and other accompanying musicians.
Born in 1986 from the passion of a group of musicians from Geneva, the Atelier Choral is composed of about 60 choristers and has established itself over time as an oratory choir in the musical panorama of the Canton of Geneva, performing the greatest works of the choral repertoire from the Baroque period to the present day.
The authenticity of the Atelier Choral, its communicative fervor, its search for perfection and its repertoire have led it over the years to perform in numerous Swiss cities, but also in France, China, Brazil and Italy.
All concerts are free admission.
