The L’Ape in Città event will take place on Sunday 10 November in the wonderful setting of Prato della Valle in Padua, and will be dedicated to honey, the natural product of bees. The event is organised by the Associazione Apicoltori Patavini A.P.A. PAD. and Veneto a Tavola, with the patronage of the Municipality of Padua.
The event’s programme includes the exhibitions ‘Honeys of Italy’, with over 100 varieties of honeys from every region and their descriptive cards, and ‘The Life of the Bee’, a series of descriptive panels to discover the work of the bee. There will also be free workshops for children and free guided tastings of single variety honeys. For the entire day, then, at the Association’s stand, there will be beekeeping experts from the A.P.A. Pad. who will guide you through the discovery of bees and the value of beehive products. Last but not least, the rich market ‘Bontà & Benessere’, with the presence of Padua beekeepers, who will propose honeys and derivatives, and other operators with typical food products, herbal and health articles, and handicrafts.
The event aims to raise awareness and appreciation of the properties of honey for our daily diet and, above all, the importance of bees in pollinating plants, also in our territory, and in maintaining environmental biodiversity.
