Chamber guitar is back at Barco Teatro with the proposal of a very special ensemble, surprising in its timbral and repertoire possibilities: Formed by Teresa Gasparini on classical guitar and Michelangelo Ghedin on saxophone (soprano and alto), Duo Confluence will introduce us to and appreciate, with a varied programme of transcriptions and original compositions (Schubert, Tchaikovsky, Bartòk, but also Miller, Farrell, Humet, Krawczyk), the sweetness and delicacy of the saxophone as it intertwines with the rhythms and refined melodies of the guitar, in the construction of a delicate balance.
Duo Confluence‘s project (awarded by the artistic project ‘Residenze Erranti’ 2024), contributes in an original way to the chamber music possibilities of the classical guitar, to the expansion of its repertoire and to the affirmation of new sonorities that can amaze and fascinate the listener.
