A premiere evening-event featuring two important orchestras – one classical and one jazz – on stage in Piazza Eremitani for a tribute to the Beatles. In the concert Beatles Today! the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto and the Green Orchestra will perform the great Beatles classics revisited for this ensemble of over 30 elements including conductor, lead vocals, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, strings, guitar, bass and drums, thanks to the original arrangements and direction of Maestro Ettore Martin. The project creates a perfect bridge between the pop music of the Beatles and the jazz of the great orchestras, with a dash of modernity, making the show accessible to an audience passionate about the different stylistic currents. The Beatles are thus ‘elegantly dressed’ by a large ensemble without losing the immediacy and effectiveness of their compositions with a repertoire capable of arousing curiosity and amazement; a project of extreme rarity and one of a kind, with arrangements never played by any other ensemble and with a set list of unforgettable songs such as And I Love Her, Come Together, Michelle, Blackbird, Eleanor Rigby, Ticket to Ride, Hey Jude, Here Comes the Sun, Yesterday, Let It Be and many others.
A special event for the Castello Festival for an evening of the highest level dedicated to one of the most influential bands in music history, an authentic reference point for generations of musicians and fans.
