Gino Cortelazzo – Dalla natura alla scultura

11 JUIL. - 21 SEPT. 2025
Other

Forty years after the death of Gino Cortelazzo (Este, 1927-1985), the Civic Museums of Padua dedicate an exhibition to the sculptor at the Oratory of San Rocco, curated by Prof. Giovanni Bianchi, lecturer in contemporary art history at the University of Padua, with the patronage of the Department of Cultural Heritage of the same University and the supervision of a scientific committee composed of Stefano Annibaletto, Giovanni Bianchi and the artist’s two children Guido Cortelazzo and Paola Cortelazzo.

Also presented are the artist’s jewellery creations, conceived by Cortelazzo as “wearable works” that allowed him to express his creativity in an original way; a continuous germination of forms as an affirmation of his fantastic impetus. Cortelazzo, therefore, has constantly drawn inspiration from nature, reinterpreting it, however, through a personal plastic language aimed at capturing the organic forms and vital rhythms of the natural world.

The exhibition will be inaugurated on Thursday 10 July at 6 pm.
