The Mozart@Padova project represents the cultural journey curated by Paola Cattaneo, created by the OPV Foundation, on the occasion of the visit, in the past, of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his father Leopold to the city of Padua.

The cultural events include a rich program of music and popular events with some of the most well-known soloists and experts in the sector.

The ribbon cutting is scheduled for Saturday 1 March at 8.30 pm at the Padua University Center in via Zabarella 82 with the Open Ensemble show of the Glauco Bertagnin Conservatory.

Entrance is free with responsible donation for Emergency.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, he is gifted with a very rare musical talent: he is considered the main exponent of classical music. For the great artist, music is everything and “every moment of the day without music” says Mozart “is not worth living”.

Mozart’s melodies reach absolute popularity, the piece that perhaps represents him most is the Requiem.

Mozart finished writing the Requiem, commissioned two months earlier, the day before his death on 4 December 1791.

He had told his friends “I am composing this Requiem for myself; it will be used for my funeral
