ATTENTION: EVENT CANCELLED
XXVI edition of the medieval event which includes the traditional « cart race » pulled by hand by four competing teams, representing the four medieval districts called Monastero, Brolo, Capodiponte and Grate.
Each cart carries a figure/silhouette of Saint Anthony; The team that first fixes the outline of the Saint on the bell tower wins the prize.
Hence the historical and allegorical meaning of the re-enactment: the figure of Saint Anthony who arrives dying at the Arcella on a cart and becomes the symbol of the city.
