NOTOS QUARTET
Sindri Lederer, violin
Andrea Burger, viola
Benjamin Lai, cello
Antonia Köster, piano
music by Mozart, Schönberg and Fauré
The Notos Quartet is the protagonist of the concert on Tuesday 19 November 2024, at 8.15 pm, at the Pollini Auditorium, on the program for the 68th Concert Season of the Friends of Music of Padua. The concert programme, which is also a tribute to the anniversaries of the deaths of Schönberg and Fauré, can be considered an original excursus in the history of the piano quartet. The musicians of the ensemble have in fact chosen to open with Mozart’s Quartet K 493, which “lays the foundations of the entire genre of the piano quartet, to then move on to “Notte trasfigurata” by Arnold Schönberg, “a highly emotional and lyrical with a completely new clarity of voice”, and finally to the Quartet op. 15 by Fauré, which “with its incomparable harmony, pulsating liveliness and colour, is able to give us a short holiday in the South of France”.
Rehearsal open at the Pollini Auditorium at 10.30 am.
