From 12 to 15 September, the city of Padua opens its doors to the illustration and storytelling festival Autori in città (Authors in the city), an event now in its 5th edition, which this year becomes a festival and is enriched with new events and novelties.
A four-day festival, a must for those who love illustration and storytelling, which will take place simultaneously in various locations around the city. In fact, it is a widespread festival that will involve independent bookshops, public and non-public cultural spaces, parks and gardens in the centre of Padua and in the neighbouring districts and municipalities, hosting the authors and illustrators who are the protagonists of this edition with a rich network of scheduled events.
In addition to the exhibitions (6 solo and 1 collective), the city will host signacopies, workshops and laboratories for children and adults, read alouds, portofolio reviews, and – as of this year – the special FOCUS section dedicated to training meetings for „insiders“ from various fields (teachers, psychologists, operators) who use illustrated books by integrating them into their activities.
The Festival is realised with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality and Province of Padua.
