In one of the most beautiful Italian concert halls, the Sala dei Giganti at Palazzo Liviano, under the gaze of the giants that animate its high walls, takes place one of the traditional reviews of the Amici della Musica di Padova, from 23 February to 06 April.
The “Domenica in musica” (Sunday in music) festival is dedicated to the promotion of young musicians, winners or prize-winners of prestigious national and international competitions (e.g. Premio Venezia, Premio Casella, Premio Brunelli, Bando Peruzzi, Premio Nazionale delle Arti) at the start of their concert careers.
In the over thirty years of the festival’s existence, many of today’s established musicians, who are present in the most important concert halls or festivals, have in the past been the ‘young talents’ guests of Domenica in Musica.
At the concerts of the festival, which always take place on Sunday mornings starting at 11 a.m., one can hear solo recitals, duets or various ensembles.
The young age of the performers, the talent and energy with which they tackle the vast repertoire ranging from classical-romantic to 20th century music, are able to engage the audience with great emotional impact. Added to this, the charm of the extraordinary location, the Sala dei Giganti at the Liviano, with its frescoes and history.
