On Thursday 19 September, at 9 p.m., the Giardini dell’Arena in Padua will host an unmissable theatrical event: ‚Peggy‚, a compelling monologue tracing the extraordinary life of Peggy Guggenheim, one of the most iconic and revolutionary figures of the contemporary art world.

The show, directed by Stefano Eros Macchi and interpreted by Marta Bettolo, focuses on Peggy Guggenheim’s growth from childhood to success as an art collector. On stage, a woman dressed in black, a trunk full of hats and a full-wall screen: a few but powerful scenic elements that, through a dynamic and exciting narrative, will immerse us in Peggy Guggenheim’s universe.

Peggy Guggenheim was not only one of the greatest art collectors of the 20th century, but above all a visionary, a woman determined to give meaning to her existence and leave an indelible mark on the world, finding in contemporary art her reason for living and her mission. Her story, told in a tight and engaging manner, invites us to reflect on the meaning of art, passion and perseverance.
