From 2 to 31 August 2024, OXYGEN. Works by Càssia Raad exhibition will be set up at the Scuderie di Palazzo Moroni.
On display are around fifty works that cross different phases of the artist’s work, ranging between important themes such as peace, environmental protection and all those values that risk an unstoppable decline in our society.
Curated and presented by Filippo Faccin, the exhibition will have as Special Guest the artist and motion graphics designer Valeria Degli Agostini, from Padua, winner of several awards for short films.
« The word oxygen was chosen as the title of the exhibition for both its literal and metaphorical meaning » explains Cassia Raad. « Oxygen is the most widespread element in nature, essential for the transformation of what we take into energy for our cells, and is capable of amalgamating with almost all other elements. « Giving oxygen » in the figurative sense means offer vital support, give space, freedom of thought, of words. And if we were able to be an element of transformation around us, if we were able to live with others without prejudice and in complete freedom, then we would give more meaning. to this expression« .
Valeria participates with three works: « Blanked », made specifically for the exhibition, « Reitia » and « Into the milk », a video art work conceived and created a few days after the outbreak of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
