On Saturday 16 November, from 11am to 12.30pm, in the evocative Sala del Romanino of the Eremitani Museum, an event will be held to celebrate the anniversary of the birth of UNESCO in Padua.
A meeting that is not only a tribute to the foundation of UNESCO on 16 November 1945, but also an opportunity to reflect on the role that this organization has in preserving the world’s cultural and natural heritage.
The event, which will take place in Piazza Eremitani 8, is organized in collaboration with the UNESCO Club of Padua and will see the participation of leading figures from the cultural and institutional panorama.
The opening greetings will be entrusted to Andrea Colasio, councilor for culture and tourism of the Municipality of Padua, and Gilda Rota, president of the UNESCO Club of Padua. During the meeting, the book “Padua and UNESCO”, edited by Giorgio Andrian and Paolo Braghetto, in memory of Paolo Donà, will be presented.
A work that aims to explore the link between the city of Padua and UNESCO, highlighting the initiatives and projects that have contributed to enhancing the local heritage.
