Six performances of contemporary theatre enhanced by a dance event. The twenty-first season of Arti Inferiori, scheduled from 5 December 2024 to 4 April 2025, returns to the Piccolo Teatro di Padova with a rich programme and a novelty: all the shows will be held at 7:30 p.m., an earlier time than in the past to make the events more accessible.
The first appointment is on 5 December with the company Fanny & Alexander in which Chiara Lagani is the performer, but also signs dramaturgy and costumes, of the show Maternity, taken from Maternity by Sheila Heti, direction, lights, sound project by Luigi De Angelis. In Maternity – from the short story by Sheila Heti – a woman asks herself what it is that keeps her from bringing a child into the world. After the performance there will be a meeting with Chiara Lagani and an author/artist dealing with the theme of motherhood.
The show, signed by Arteven Circuito Multidisciplinare Regionale/Regione Veneto, is realised with the contribution of the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Padua and with the support of Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Padova e Rovigo.
