From 24 July to 1 September the Sala della Gran Guardia hosts Alex Coin‘s personal photographic exhibition, entitled QUANTICA. Of Suns, Moons and Tides.
Over the years, Alex Coin has deepened his artistic research into matter, understood as a tool for personal expression, drawing inspiration from the great masters of informal material art. The works of the latter were of great inspiration to him so that he could combine simple traditional technique with less orthodox material experimentation.
Nature is represented by the artist as a forge of chromatic and sensorial wonders, generator of primordial and vital energies. And it is precisely in this exhibition that he intends to narrate the incessant flow of celestial motions, expressing their intensity through his innovative pictorial language.
The use of cotton fiber and other materials defines a texture that expands beyond the confines of the mere surface of the work; and the supports enhance the uniqueness of the painting, thanks to the colors and lacquers. The elements combine to create different optical and sensorial perspectives through which the artist intends to lead the viewer to an intense perceptive vision, and immortalize the pictorial “shot” of each celestial motion represented.
Inauguration on Wednesday 24 July at 5pm.
From Tuesday to Sunday 9.30-12.30 and 16.00-19.00. Closed on non-holiday Mondays.
