For John Scofield it is “one of the best groups in music today”: it is the trio of the German pianist Pablo Held, who on November 1st at the Auditorium Centro Culturale Altinate/San Gaetano will welcome the Brazilian guitarist Nelson Veras as a special guest, a collaboration in perfect balance between modern jazz lines and Brazilian roots.
The trio’s collaboration with Brazilian guitarist Nelson Veras began during the recording of the album Ascent (2020; the EP Descent also emerged from the same session). Nelson Veras’ style mixes classical guitar techniques, modern jazz lines and his Brazilian roots (Salvador de Bahia).
