On Sunday, 20 October, there will be a special visit with the estate to get to know those who take care of the villa every day. It will be possible to taste seasonal fruits such as jujubes and traditional biscuits in the villa’s kitchen.
The villa will be open from 10:00 to 12:00 for independent visits to discover ART EXPERIENCE the augmented reality applied to the visit of the villa.
On Sunday 20 October at Villa Molin in the afternoon we will welcome you by transporting you to the moment of birth of the Venetian mainland villas, when the ‘Stato da Tera’ of the Serenissima was born. In that extraordinary moment, which came at the height of an economic, political and cultural situation that completely renewed the Venetian Republic, Villa Molin was built in 1597.
The villa will be open for a guided tour of the villa and the park that will take us back to that era thanks to the Patrizi Veneti, a historical cultural group in costume that will bring the villa and its history to life and give us a performance in the ballroom.
We will tell you the history of the villa and the vicissitudes of the families who lived there over the centuries. Of its designer, Vincenzo Scamozzi, who was among the most important Italian architects of the late 16th century, of the decoration of the villa spanning more than 400 years. Venetian patricians will wear their splendid costumes and, in the ballroom, music of the time will accompany the reading of poems composed for the noble holidaymakers.
Opening the door of the villa will be Nicolò Molin himself accompanied by the procurator and a court promenade to music by Vincenzo Galilei. The court will perform a court dance. At the end of the visit, soprano Veronica Rampado will give us a cameo of the 18th century with her splendid voice.
