HOMAGE TO PADOVA URBS PICTA – Sunday 6 July 2025

The Homage to Padua Urbs Picta is the event conceived by Vecia Padova to keep alive the memory of the nomination of Padua as a World Heritage City which took place on 24 July 2021 in Fuzhou, China.

We always remember that with this nomination, made by a world-class organization such as UNESCO, it was decreed that Padua is one of the most important cities of art in the world. We also remember that Vecia Padova was the first promoting Association and one of the architects of the nomination.

In Sala Rossini, on the main floor of Pedrocchi, starting at 18:00 the institutional-artistic part will be held with the intervention of the artists of Vecia Padova. Actors, musicians, singers, dancers, poets, will intervene to present in a particular way, according to their artistic training, the sites of the 14th century frescoes and their exceptional artists. Not all Paduans remember the aforementioned sites and not all know, apart from Giotto, the authors of the frescoes. Our goal is clear, we do not want this prestigious nomination to end up in oblivion.

The second part, which will start at 8 pm, in Sala Rossa, on the ground floor, will be convivial with the special Dinner-buffet prepared by the Pedrocchi kitchen. It is possible to request the menu, for information and reservations write to veciapadova@gmail.com
