On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, instituted by the UN on 25 November, the Municipality of Padua, which has always supported and protected women victims of violence, adheres to a number of awareness and information initiatives with a calendar of meetings, exhibitions and shows aimed at citizens, from 7 to 30 November.
The Department for Gender Policies, Equal Opportunities and the Fight against Gender Violence adheres to the national ‘Occupied Place’ campaign, promoted by the Lottodiognimese association, displaying, on 25 November, in every municipal seat (Palazzo Moroni, Palazzi Gozzi and Sarpi, the headquarters of the Quartieri, Centro Culturale Altinate/San Gaetano) some chairs with a red drape and an information leaflet of the campaign, in memory of women who can no longer be in their place because they are victims of violence and killings.
