About the concert Contemporary of Marcel Proust, Leopold Godowsky (1870-1938), a brilliant and creative pianist and passionate about Chopin’s music, dedicated a collection of over 50 studies (from op. 10 and 25) to reflection on the Polish composer’s technique.
The reflection on Chopin is carried out by filling him with further technical ideas, new voices, glosses and tropes that complicate the already arduous performance.
It is not a repertoire «for everyone» but it is for many, in fact numerous virtuosos have some numbers in their repertoire; Emanuele Delucchi, however, pianist and composer (like Godowsky) will present the opera in its entirety at the Barco in a single performance, with only an hour’s break, offering a memorable evening also with respect to the discography, due to the evident cognitive advantage and expressive constituted by seeing the gestures inherent in this music (largely written for the left hand only).
Concert times and progress The concert is divided into two parts: –
Part I: 6.00 pm / 7.30 pm – Break (possibility of snacks/light dinner at the theater bar)
Part II: 8.30pm / 9.45pm
