On Friday 28 June at 7pm, at the Loggia dei Carraresi in Padua, a new appointment will be held with Fior D’ Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG and Padua Urbs Picta. An unmissable experience, a journey into the beauty of Padua Urbs Picta, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2021, with a look at the Feminine and an unprecedented tasting of the inebriating aromas and enveloping flavors of the Fior d’Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG in its various expressions .
The project, which won the second prize in the “Vino, Donne e Canto” competition organized by the Female Entrepreneurship Committee of the Padua Chamber of Commerce in 2021, translates into reality an idea of the architect Catia Bolzonella of Ca della Vigna: “ linking the Fior D’Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG, a wonderful wine that can be interpreted in many versions with a thousand facets, to Padua Urbs Picta was a spontaneous step: two excellences that meet thanks to the female figures» Strong women of the past, protagonists, as clients, of a process of artistic innovation in 14th century Padua, and women of the present, the Euganean winemakers who with their interpretations contribute to spreading the knowledge of Fior D’Arancio, a versatile wine which even in the famous version of sweet sparkling wine can be combined with savory preparations, cured meats, cheeses and even ethnic dishes or oriental or international cuisine.
Each glass of Fior D’Arancio for tasting will be accompanied by a gastronomic pairing by the chef of the Peace ‘n’ Spice Restaurant in Padua, in an experiential journey that traces the journey of yellow Moscato from its origins, among the aromas and flavors of the Persia, Greece and ancient Venetian traditions.
Wines for tasting: Fior d’Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG Sparkling wine with a roll filled with chicken, onion, pomegranate molasses and sumac (Arys), humus (chickpea sauce with thaina, lemon, oil) and rice with lentils, caramelized onion and mint (Mujaddarah) . Fior d’Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG Dry with baked vegetables in yogurt, Fior d’Arancio Colli Euganei DOCG Passito with baicoli, typical Venetian biscuits.
