Pioncarock is an event entirely managed by volunteer staff, with proceeds fully donated to the Parish of Pionca, the organizing entity, to support its activities and works.
Entry is free for all evenings, and every night starting at 8:00 PM, there is a food stand with sandwiches, fried foods, fresh beer, and other specialties prepared by volunteers and community collaborators.
The program for the 2025 edition features five evenings of music and entertainment.
It begins on Thursday, July 17 at 9:30 PM with the DS Dire Straits Tribute, a historic formation that will present the repertoire of Mark Knopfler and the Dire Straits with rigor and passion.
On Friday, July 18, also at 9:30 PM, it will be the turn of the Trails, a genuine rock band that brings timeless rock classics and contemporary hits to the stage with authentic and infectious energy.
On Saturday, July 19 at 9:30 PM, the Highway to Hell will take the stage, a fiery tribute to AC/DC straight from Milan.
On Sunday, July 20, the festival also opens up to theater: the evening will begin at 8:00 PM with the improvisational theater show Baobab, by the Wonderform school, and will continue with a concert by Faccia da Max, an engaging tribute band to Max Pezzali and the 883, starting from 9:30 PM.
The closing evening on Monday, July 21 will be dedicated to the second edition of the Pioncarock Contest, a competition for emerging bands conducted by radio speaker Cinzia Agostini, starting at 8:30 PM. The groups will take turns on stage to win over the audience and the jury with their strictly original songs. Competing will be Luminol (Brescia), with an interesting mix of grunge, rock, and electronics; NFF (Treviso), who propose fresh rock with pop influences; Le Erbe Gramigne (Padova), with unreleased songs in Italian and the Veneto dialect; and Marna (Montebelluna), with an alternative rock sound to discover.
A qualified technical jury, consisting of Fabio Velo Dalbrenta (music journalist and writer), Giuliano Biasio (owner of Ruvido Barber Rock, a venue that has hosted emerging bands and live events in Arcella for years), Frenelik Cappellato (singer and radio speaker) and Luca Marini (guitarist and guitar and bass teacher), will evaluate the performances.
The jury’s decision will be complemented by the audience’s vote, expressed through voting coupons linked to purchases at the food stand.
