In an attempt to give at least a brief overview of the many facets of a complex intellectual figure such as Melchiorre Cesarotti, an illustrious 18th-century intellectual from Padua, teatrOrtaet, in its animated tour of Villa Cesarotti in Selvazzano, has chosen to revisit the most emblematic places (unfortunately only some of which have survived to this day) in the park of the villa that Cesarotti inherited from his brother and transformed into a comforting refuge in his later years, when the burdens of fame and social life became too heavy to bear.
