Saturday, September 27 marks the conclusion of the Tartinian Explorations 2025. In this edition, the review has woven together paths, listening experiences, old and new compositions with unexpected connections, following the legacy of Giuseppe Tartini. A mosaic of experiences that goes beyond mere musical listening.
The last of the cultural walks dedicated to Tartini, titled “Between Notes and Ideas“, will depart at 15:15 from the fountain of Prato della Valle, and, making stops at the Santo, on Via Cesarotti and Via San Francesco, will narrate the fascinating links between Tartini and the Enlightenment in Padua. The walk will conclude at 17:30 with a violin concert at the Church of Santa Caterina. Here, after the introduction by musicologist Angela Forin, violinist Matteo Rozzi will perform two sonatas by Giuseppe Tartini and, in absolute first performance, a Homage to Tartini composed by Dario Michelon, a student of the Composition Class of Maestro Giovanni Bonato at the Pollini Conservatory in Padua. Violinist Matteo Rozzi, in addition to traditional academic studies, has embarked on a path of in-depth study dedicated to performance practice according to a rigorous philological approach, perfecting himself in baroque violin. He has appeared in important festivals and concert seasons in the field of ancient music, receiving unanimous acclaim from the public and critics.
