We will have the chance to admire our city from an unusual and suggestive perspective, a privileged view from one of the canals that in the past represented the main access for those coming from Venice: the ancient walls, monuments, bastions, and historic buildings of Padua will take on new and particular connotations. All while discovering the beautiful autumn colors of our beloved Padua.
Starting from the Contarine Gates, we will pass through the magnificent Porta Portello, along the Renaissance Walls (a masterpiece of Bartolomeo D’Alviano), we will cross the ancient Graissi Bridge, until we reach, before turning back, the superb seventeenth-century Villa Giovanelli in Noventa Padovana, a jewel of our territory. We will traverse the ancient communication routes with rich Venice, with the historical and natural beauty that in autumn assumes colors worthy of an impressionist painting.
All this will be accompanied by a pleasant aperitif served on board during the navigation, interspersed with historical and cultural anecdotes about the history of Padua and the Padua river navigation.
Meeting time 3:45 PM at the Contarine Gates, navigation duration about an hour and 45 minutes.
A contribution of € 20 is required (for members € 18), for children only € 10, which includes over 2 hours of navigation and a small aperitif on board.
