Vecchiato Arte in its small treasure chest on Via Dondi dall’Orologio has conceived and organized, in collaboration with the artist Angelo Bordiga and with Esperienze Audio, the exhibition “Opera” where around twenty canvas works, created specifically for the Padavian exhibition, are showcased.
The Brescia artist, known for the figures that populate his paintings, in this exhibition creates for the first time a dialogue between artworks and music. The experience of artistic appreciation is enriched, in the gallery spaces, by listening to selected musical pieces chosen by the artist himself.
The figure is at the center of Angelo Bordiga’s research, which looks to the masters of the past such as Titian, Velázquez, Rembrandt, or Goya, and to the movements of the twentieth century, from the Expressionism of Egon Schiele, Giacometti, and Bacon to the intensity of De Chirico’s metaphysical work.
Speaking about his artistic poetics, Bordiga talks of gesture and proof. He does not favor painting made of details but something akin to drawing, barely hinted at, delicate, and at the same time material.
Music is the other important protagonist of the exhibition. Bordiga has selected three works and linked them to the listening of three specific musical pieces that resonate with him. Visitors will be able to fully immerse themselves in listening and viewing the artworks simultaneously, allowing themselves to be carried away by this dual creative experience.
The selection of music was also made possible thanks to Esperienze Audio, which will set up various listening systems for the event.
