The autumn season of the Art Center picks up the thread from the beginning of the year, offering a new special project in two evenings, dedicated to guitarist and composer Mary Halvorson and her sextet Amaryllis. On October 24 and 25, the vast expressive possibilities of the group will be enhanced by a novel configuration that includes, in addition to the sextet’s performance, its breakdown into three duets that, exclusively for this project, will be showcased on the first evening.
On October 24 at the Sala dei Giganti, we will listen to three distinct duets, to get to know the different musical personalities that make up the Amaryllis sextet.
On the second evening, all these musicians will reunite in the Amaryllis sextet to perform the repertoire specifically composed by Mary Halvorson.

Carl Stone will perform at the Sala dei Giganti on November 7 with a special solo performance in quadraphonic sound, conceived to celebrate his return 37 years after his Italian debut, which took place in this same venue in 1988. He was one of the very first artists to perform solo with a personal computer connected via MIDI to samplers and FM synthesizers.
A central and tireless figure in international experimentation, Carl Stone continues to explore the boundaries of electronic music with a personal and visionary approach that intertwines memory, technology, and improvisation, delivering works that surprise with their intensity, originality, and vitality.
