Villa Giusti and the Events of the Great War – Saturday, November 29, 2025
Padua Exclusive tour of the garden and interior of Villa Giusti, one of the most iconic symbols of the city and its history, being the place where, on November 3, 1918, the Italian and Austrian military authorities signed the armistice that ended the First World War. Originally a farm within the Villa Molin complex, it belonged to the noble Capodilista family. It later became the property of Count Vettor Giusti del Giardino, mayor of Padua from 1890 to 1897 and senator of the Kingdom of Italy from 1915. It was also the residence of King Victor Emmanuel III, who, returning from the front, stayed there from November 1917 to January 1918.
