“Tell them“, the penultimate concert on the program for the “Scatola Sonora” 2025 music season at Barco Teatro, presents a cycle of German, Hungarian, English, and Spanish folk songs from the 19th and 20th centuries (Brahms, Bartók, Britten, García Lorca), transcribed for guitar and voice.
The star of the evening is the Duo Amaris, composed of Australian-Chinese guitarist Jesse Flowers and German soprano Julia Spies.
The concert program features the namesake recent discographic work produced by the Duo (“Paschen Records” 2024) and also includes a piece written specifically for the Duo by Brazilian guitarist and composer João Luiz.
