Food, Cultures, and Care: Nourishing the Future Together.
Saturday, January 17, 9:00 AM – Final Event of the EATWISE Project – Parco degli Alpini – Padua
The EATWISE project concludes with a day designed specifically for nutrition professionals, but open to all citizens, dedicated to food not only as nourishment, but as a common language, cultural practice, and tool for collective care.
The day will begin with an introduction by Leyla Khalil, coordinator of the Culture and Community Area of Popoli Insieme, and then move into the heart of the matter with a roundtable discussion intertwining nutrition, anthropology, and community medicine. We will hear from Claudia Penzavecchia and Sara Olivieri, dietitians active on social media as @quasidietista.claudia and @inizio.lunedì, respectively, and co-founders of SNUT – Scuola di Nutrizione Pratica. Anthropologist Giovanna Palutan will also be speaking. Through diverse perspectives and expertise, the discussion will highlight the value of food as a daily, cultural, and social practice, capable of impacting the health of individuals and communities.
