A showcase of young talents in classical music for Sunday in Music 2026, whose inaugural concert is scheduled for Sunday, January 25. The traditional review by the Friends of Music of Padua, organized in collaboration with the Guido Alberto Fano Musical Archive Onlus, the Omizzolo-Peruzzi Musical Foundation, and the Musical Weeks at the Olympic Theatre, will take place, as usual, in the charming Hall of Giants at Palazzo Liviano, on Sunday morning at 11 AM.
For eight consecutive Sundays, until March 15, the winners of the most recent musical awards and competitions will take to the stage, in various formations. A madrigal ensemble, three piano recitals, two of which are reserved for musicians awarded at the latest Venezia Prize, and four duos, where alongside the piano, the violin, clarinet, and soprano will be present at the various appointments.
Wide musical repertoires will be explored, from Italian madrigals to great composers such as Beethoven, Schumann, and Chopin; from the Russian music of Rachmaninoff and Scriabin to the French music of Debussy, Ravel, Fauré, and Boulanger, to name just a few. And as per tradition, there will be no shortage of Italian authors such as Casella, Fano, Respighi, and Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
Eight appointments with great music and new virtuosos, to be enjoyed in a splendid setting, absolutely not to be missed.
