The international exhibition Communicating Sports, from the Stamp to the Hashtag takes place in Padua, co-organized by the Alliance Française of Padua, the international network Ici on parle français, and the Province of Padua, with the patronage of various institutions and the support of VenicePromex.
The exhibition aims to allow visitors to approach the Olympics and Francophonie through the evolution of communication. In particular, posters from all modern Olympics starting from 1896 are displayed, and original material from the exhibition Francophonie and Olympism, set up in Paris for the 2024 Olympics, is also present.
Throughout the exhibition path, created in Italian, French, and English, visitors are presented with insights to stimulate observation, access to knowledge, reflection, and engagement towards building Peace starting from communication around the values of Olympism, sports, and Francophonie. Specific educational activities dedicated to schools have also been designed.
The exhibition concludes with an invitation to visitors to write and post a postcard, a gesture that is no longer common. They will be able to relive or discover the thrill of interpersonal communication by Mail. A philatelic cancellation will provide a reminder of this unique moment.
This event is included in the cultural agenda of the Fondazione Milano-Cortina.
